1/ “How did you get the idea of the partnership with Havaianas?

I have always had a real passion for Brazil, a Country that to me has so many things in common with Italy. I love the Brazilian’s joyful colourful
lifestyle, which I find so seductive, inspirational, and symbolic of the imagery and taste of Missoni. It’s no coincidence that Missoni is one of
Brazil’s best loved Italian brands!

2/ “What motivates you to develop this kind of partnership?”

Havaianas are a cult, the most inexpensive must-have of our time, I liked
the idea to incorporate some of the Missoni patterns on the flip flops.
I am not new to these kind of partnerships, and I find they are fascinating, reinforcing experiences. The meeting of icons, of distinguished well known brands, always has a unique, exciting & playful impact. Furthermore I love Havaianas, they are flip flops I collect and like to wear. So, as soon as I had the chance, I suggested a partnership.

I am a fan of Havaianas, I already own many and I keep buying them as soon as I come across a new design or colour. It’s no coincidence that we have called this partnership ‘Missoni loves Havaianas’…

4/ “Can you tell us a bit more about the style of the HAVAIANAS created by Missoni?

The idea of a meeting between two icons and two cultures has inspired the
concept and colours of the designs, from the packaging to the flip flops.
The white, red and green of Italy’s flag, crossed and combined with the green and yellow of the Brazilian one in the packaging’s pattern. These same colours return, together with black, orange and ocean blue, in the different patterns printed on the sole’s upper of all three flip-flop styles (slim and regular for women plus unisex) and on the fabric of flat classic espadrilles. Very Missoni patterns, iconic enlarged space-dyes, zigzags and waves interact with the radical black of uppersole strings with a very sophisticated graphical effect. Each Missoni loves Havaianas pair will come inside a net shoe bag, exclusively designed and made in Italy with Missoni fabric.
